          ECP MARKS NATIONAL WORKING WOMEN’S DAY FALLING ON

THE 22^nd DECEMBER, 2015

                       

  Islamabad, the 21^st December, 2015.---  The Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan marking “National Working Women’s Day” is pleased to appreciate the services of women working in the Election Commission across the country and has emphasized upon induction of women in all offices of ECP throughout the country.

 

 In this regard, the Hon’ble CEC is further pleased to observer that 10% quota for women in the ECP be followed in future appointments in letter and spirit. He further stressed on special initiative to encourage women to obtain their CNICs and register themselves as voters. He reiterated the importance of the day by inviting women to participate in elections as candidates as well as voters to make Pakistan a strong democracy
